Guest guest
Dear group, I'm hoping to spend as much as possible of the remainder of a doctoral program in Pune. I have been there once, for two and a half months last summer, but did not end up making much use of the BORI and other libraries. I'm trying to imagine how much writing up it will be necessary to do in the West before submitting the dissertation. I recall that at the BORI library there was not a lot of the most recent recent Western secondary literature on the Mahabharata, not surprisingly considering the cost of Western academic books. But if I used all the libraries I could find, those of the University of Pune and of Deccan College and the Tilak Maharastra Vidyapeeth and any others, am I likely to be able to go far in making up the defecit, and would there even need to be a defecit? Many thanks. Phillip Ernest
