The Conference will take place on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at the Faculty of Religious Studies at McGill University. The language of this conference will be Sanskrit. Scholars are invited to present papers on any topic. Each presentation will last 30 minutes, including 10 minutes allotted for discussion. Participants wishing to present papers are requested to send the title and a short description of their intended presentation to the conference secretary. Objectives of the Conference: The aim of the conference is to promote the use of Sanskrit as a language of research. It will serve as a forum in which various aspects of cultures can be discussed in primary language of internal communication within the multi-lingual Hindu community until very recent time, and provide an intellectual atmosphere in which modern and traditional scholarships may be studied.
