The lecturer will teach the following courses: Introduction to Religious Studies, Comparative Religion, and Theories of Religion, in addition to area of specialism. Applicants trained in any area of religious studies/theology considered. Candidates with expertise in Tibetan Buddhism especially welcome. Candidates must have a PhD or be nearing completion. Ideally we are looking for someone who can start in June 2006 (but there is some flexibility). Salary: 40,000 baht/month. Free accommodation available if required. A full-time lecturer is sought to help set up a new MA course in Buddhist psychology and counselling at the College of Religious Studies, Mahidol University, Bangkok. The course aims to train students/monks to deal with current social problems in Thailand. Candidates with PhD or nearing completion preferred, but candidates with an MA in a suitable area also considered.
