Guest guest
Hello Mr. Bankar, Thanks for the invitation to join the group. Checked out the link, saw photos even of Bhuleshwar. One correction - this temple was not built by Shivaji. It was constructed in around 13th - 14th Century A.D. that is before Shivaji. Best, Manjiri. Guest guest
Hello , It was bhuleshvar 10 Kms from Yavat . It is also known as mangalgad . i had taken those photos in Nov 05 . I am collecting information for making webpage like gondeshvar . The Ancient temple was badly ruined by certain muslim invader ( may be Afzulkhan or Aurangazeb ) . and was reconstructed by Shivaji Maharaj . We find the temple look like Maratha Architecture . But the interior Architecture tolds different story . There are some caves located there . i am not sure whether these are caves or Anything different . It is near the entrance of fort . I am going to explore them in this summer when there will be no water . these caves have bats and was looking horrific. Please see my photos of Bhuleshvar . I was not intrested in only ancient architecture & hence taken photos of the interior only . Guest guest
Mr. Bankar, Checked the link. It appears that they are rock-cut tanks , of course to store water and are not caves for religious and residential purposes. Hope the information sent to you earlier today would be useful for the webpage. It is a very good idea to make a database on publications made in the field of numismatics. I wonder whether it includes the books and articles published only in English and therefore was surprised not to see the Hindi book Bharatiya Sikke by Amiteshwar Jha, in it. You can also update the list of museums by adding - 1)R B I - Monetary Museum, 2)Doshi museum in Mumbai university, Kalina - both in Mumbai. Best wishes, Manjiri.
