Guest guest
Hi, I wonder whether you can help me in this. As we know, there are six schools of philosophy. 1. Nyaya, based on Nyaya-sutras by Gautama, about 2nd century BC. 2. Vaishesika, based on vaishesika-sutras by kananda, about 2nd century BC 3. Mimamsa, based on Mimamsa-sutras by Jamini, about 2nd century BC 4. Vedanta, based on Vedanta Sutra, or Brahma Sutra by Badarayana, about 2nd century BC 5. Samkhya, based on Sankhya Karika by Ishvara Krishna, 200 CE 6. Yoga, based on Yoga Sutra of Patanjali, about 2nd century BC. Are the datings correct? Some websites gave 2nd-4th centuries CE for Kanada, 4th century BC for Gautama and Jaimini, 500-200 BC for Badarayana. Which is correct? Thanks, Rahula
