G.N. (Gayatri Nath) Pant seems to be prolific in specific studies on museum

collections, and perhaps the terminology of weapons would have changed less

between the 13th c. and the 18th or 19th than from "ancient India" and the 13th.

One mustn't assume the same word meant the same thing continuously or in all

regions.
