I have searched libraries all over, online, for an edition of the Hamsaduta of Rupagosvamin with a sanskrit commentary or a hindi translation or commentary. Can anyone recommend an edition and a place to find it? Many thanks. Phillip Links
Guest guest
There is a copy available on the Gaudiya Grantha Mandir at http://www.granthamandira.org/details.php?image_id=136 I am afraid it is in need of a bit of editing. An annotated English translation (along with Uddhava-sandesa) can be found here: http://www.mandala.org/cgi-bin/MDLstore.pl?user_action=detail&catalogno=BK4313HB The edition I used was (ed. Krishnadas) with commentary of Gopala Cakravartin and a a Hindi translation by Harikrishna Kamalesa (Sam. 2014). I rather doubt you'll be able to find that anywhere these days, but it is probably the best edition that was ever done. Cheers, Jan. Take Mail with you! Get it on your mobile phone.
