Guest guest
I gather that a detailed description of 'Siva-DakshiNAmUrti appears in the BhagavathapurANam (Bk. IV, Ch. vi, verses 31-38). Possibly described in G. Jouveau-Dubreuil, Iconography of South India (Paris: Payot, 1937). >From the Naalaayiram, there are some verses on daksinamurti, we find in the southern devakoshTams of Vishnu temples from Pallava and Chola temples too. Vaishnavaite verses on Dakshinamurti in naalaayiram: http://www.services.cnrs.fr/wws/arc/ctamil/2004-10/msg00029.html Checking in the late F. Hardy's virahabhakti which establishes the authorship of Bhagavatam from Tamil Srivaishanava background, dakshinamurti poems from Naalaayiram and Bhagavatham are not mentioned. Perhaps, the sculptural evidence could add a supporting evidence too. Can a lister give the Bhagavatham verses on dakshinamurti please? Thanks, N.
