Guest guest
Dear Members, I plan to prepare an etext of the old Kannada grammatical work titled "karNATaka-shabdAnushAsanam" (1604 AD) of bhaTTAkaLaMkadeva. This work is written in Sanskrit sUtras, the auto-commentary being also in Sanskrit. Old Kannada has the short and long "e" & "o" as well as the other characters (two types of "ra" and three types of "la") as in Tamil. I want to make this text easily accessible even to non-Kannada people. So I would like to get the display in (1) Roman script with diacritics (2) modified devanAgarii script (preferably with UTF-8 encoding) (3) Kannada script. Kindly let me know whether such facility (i.e. the proper converter) is available. If yes, please suggest the most conenient 7-bit Roman transliteration for preparation of the etext. A sample etext for one sUtra (484) is given below. Thanks and regards.
