[...] My favourite for Windows is Baraha, freely downloadable at www.baraha.com (clear and beautiful Nagari, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu fonts included). By means of a keyboard driver, the fonts can be used in practically any Windows program. (Be careful and download the correct version for your system! Baraha 6 is for the latest Windows systems, supporting Unicode; Baraha 2000 is for Windows 95/98 etc.; Baraha 1.1 is for Windows 3.1.) Guest guest
Dear Mr. Zydenbos: The Baraha Software is really cool and fulfills all my expectations. However, the problem of being able to use it in MS Word still remains cos when I try to use BRH Devanagari etc they are not phonetic. Since I have to type in Devanagari in MS Word, it is imperative that the fonts are phonetic for MS Word and nowhere else. I will appreciate any more suggestions. Thanks.
