Guest guest
Popular sanskrit! Today I happened to listen to a Kirtana sung in a mellifluous way by a lady from All India Radio , Calicut set to raga mohana Svaagatam krishna saranaagatam krishna! Obviously the composer had followed different grammar here. Such instances are galore in recent times. If you are suggesting that the alternative declension of the nouns was based on an ignorance of Sanskrit grammar rather than a particular rule that allows for it, let us hope that the predominance of tamoguna in the Sanskrit area of the composer's mind was of a that special celestial subcategory of tamah that actually produces sattvic effects! ---Matt
