It is also interesting that the site refers the ass head of Ravana to the folk tradition. Still, no particular folk source is given. Smith's par, in the section showing the battle between Pabuji and Ravana (for the gorgeous camels of Lanka!), shows a human Mandodari standing behind Ravana with an arati lamp, but also his mother Sikotari, in a woman's dress but with a pig's head, in which form, it says, she is often depicted.
