Guest guest
Hi, I am a novice to Indology. Please aplogise my ignorance. I am interested in learning about the nature of astronomical data found in Vedas. I am not even sure if Vedas give astronomical data. Are the astronomical data concentrated in one particular veda or is it spread across? Any reference to books/papers/material in this regard will help. Thanks, Vignesh

Yes veda do have references to astronomical data. actually plenty > Are the astronomical data concentrated in one particular veda or is > it spread across? It is spread across the literature . including raamayaNa and mahaabhaarata . > Any reference to books/papers/material in this regard will help. > > Thanks, > Vignesh also you might want to checl EVJS (Electronic Journal of Vedic Studies) which does contain few papers on this topic. A good on-line source would be the archives of IndianCivilization and you will find extensive discussion by Scientists and other specialists on topics relating to astronomical references and ancient Indian Literature. aa no bhadraaH kratavo yantu vishvataH Rajagopal
