Guest guest
Dear Mr Rajendran, It looks you & your email group lacks lot of information about what is happen in & around the world. There is a core body called SCHOOL OF ECONOMIC SCIENCE in London who run several schools in U.K where Traditional Knowledge Systems like Sanskrit / Vedanta / Vedic Mathematics / Indian Wisdom etc. is actually taught from grass-root level. These schools are called St. James Independent Schools where there are teachers / students in hundreds or thousands who study Sanskrit if I am not mistaken. We can say this because we supply books & study material to them. Unforunately, in India Sankrit & other traditional languages are vanishing because we always tend to neglect our own wisdom & so we are hardly in touch with what is happening in other countries. 70% of our Indology books sell overseas & this has been our experience for the last several years. We Indians do tall talks & harp too much about our own wisdom, but when it comes to parctical work we cut sorry figure. Actually the truth is that in this modern age we are always looking for our own wisdom packaged beautifully in western style or outfits. God knows, who do we wish to please & what are we going to accomplish. Guest guest
Hello, Why don't you please reduce the cost of your books drastically, if you are so much interested in Indians buying the books? For eg., I had been trying to buy your book ' Vedic mythology' by Hellebrandt for ages. But the price is so very prohibitive (Rs 895/- may be very less for westeners or software professionals here but it is a cool sum for me) This is true for every other book on your list. In fact, I have asked for your books in almost every bookshop, hoping to find some low priced books, in vain. In Hyderabad, the only book shops which sell your books are fancy top end stores. regards, kishore INDOLOGY, MLBD <mlbd@v...> wrote: > Dear Mr Rajendran, > > It looks you & your email group lacks lot of information about what is > happen in & around the world. How are chowkhamba and giitaa press able to bring out low cost versions? and perhaps some customer friendly timings of your shop in busy cities like Mumbai say upto 1200hrs 2000hrs. perhaps sponsor, arrange and conduct some lectures in various collages about arthashastra / veda etc. to inculcate some interest in the subjects. and the expenses can be booked under "sales promotion". lesser taxes to pay aa no bhadraaH kratavo yantu vishvataH Rajagopal
