More in the same line:

 

The BBC did a program on the Vikings some time ago, and reported on

genetic studies aiming to find traces of Norsemen in the areas where the

Norsemen were historically known to have settled. In some places, the

Norse population had evidently been replaced, but in the more distant

areas of England and Scotland, the genetic evidence was loud and clear

and pointing to Western Norway.
