Guest guest
Hi group. Sisupalavadha 9:19, vyasarannubhuudharaguhaantarataH paTalaM bahirbahalapaGkaruci/ divasaavasaanapaTunastamaso bahiretya caadhikamabhakta guhaaH// seems to say something like 'Now the cloth of darkness which is powerful at day’s end (which [veil] resembled beautiful mud), emerging from the mountain caves, spread wide without, and, having come out, [yet] strongly clung to the caves.' Mallinatha seems to think that etya in the second hemistich is to be understood separately from the bahiH in the first hemistich, but together with the bahiH in the second, so doing double duty. I wonder if this is some form of the dipaka or simhavalokana that are being discussed on Indology Liverpool. Phillip Post your free ad now!
