Guest guest
Thanks to Dr.Rajendran and Narayan Prasad for your clarifications. One reason I asked about the relation between zleSa and yamaka was this: Another verse of the kAvyAdarsha further adds that ZleSa can be a part or 'anga' or part of other alamkArAs like upama,rUpaka, vyatirekha etc upamArUpakAkshepavyatirekAdigocarAH prAgeva darshitAH ZleSA darshyante kecanApare. So Does Yamaka qualify to be part of this 'etc'? Any pointers that elaborate this would be appreciated. In zleSa there is no repetion: the same word occurring only once can be interepreted in more than one way. > > Regards. > Narayan Prasad
Guest guest
To the best of my knowledge, Slesa can be an anupranaka of all Alankaras, including Yamaka, though I have right now no pramana to cite. I think most of the instances of Yamaka are caused by Sabhasngaslesha, as otherwise yamaka will be only repetition of same words with same meaning. I do not know whether you are a member of this group. As I find some interesting postings on this I suggest that you may contact sanskrit and enroll yourself. Best regards.
