Guest guest
>It seems to me that Shri > Fosse and his kind are still struck in a time warp. Shri Parrikar forgets that on the Internet, it is possible to talk to all sorts of Indians, and not all of them share his own views. So the question is "whose time warp". >Now that their > work is finally coming under scrutiny from the unwashed natives I am really sorry to hear that Shri Parrikar and his ilk doesn't wash. I know that adviced from honkeys is unwelcome, so I won't suggest soap and water. they > are reduced to ascribing motives of those who dare to question. I am not ascribing motives. Malhotra is perfectly open and plain about his programme of influence. Shri > Fosse refuses to understand, but then as Sinclair noted, "it is hard > to make a man understand something when his salary depends on his not > understanding it." Now this is an interesting insinuation. It can be turned all sorts of ways. But in my case it is simply wrong. My salary does not depend on my Indological views. Firstly, because I make my living running a translation business where Indology is not relevant, and secondly, because my views would not have had any influence on my salary if I had been teaching Indology at the university.
