Guest guest
Thanks to Somadeva Vasudev's coaching, I now have a superior translation to Guru Gita v.40 which is much clearer, yet maintains the mysterious quality of this particular poetic utterance. If anyone objects to the new translation of this verse or any others, please let me know. I am much more of a yogi and devotee than a Sanskritist by any stretch! http://www.pranakasha.com Also, I just bought a version of Shree Guru Gita on amazon.com published by Paramhansa Pranavadarshan which contains over 350 slokas. The version that I am used to was compiled by Baba Muktananda and contains only 182. Quickly glancing through the Pranavadarshan version, I can see the 182 slokas within it, but also noticed variations of Sanskrit words even within the common slokas. This I would like to investigate. Does anyone know if there exists an authoratative devanagari manuscript of the Guru Gita and where I might obtain detailed photographs of it? The text indicates that it belongs in the latter portion of the Shree Skanda Purana, but last I heard, none exists in written form that actually contains the Guru Gita.
