Guest guest
Dear list members, In Yogaraja's commentary on the Paramarthasara (KSTS series vol. 7, bottom of the page) there is the the phrase -- atha ca " zAntaM " zakArasyAnte yanmUrdhanyarUpam tataH paraM -- Which I thought meant something like: -- In the word "zAntaM " the letter next to "zA" [ i.e. "na"] because it is of type mUrdhanya represents [symbolically] the highest. -- But the letter nakAra is of type dantya and not of type mUrdhanya. Is the letter nakAra in fact being called type mUrdhanya in the sentence? And if so, can anyone explain that. Many thanks, Harry _______________ Shop online for kids’ toys by age group, price range, and toy category at MSN Shopping.
