Guest guest Posted August 19, 2002 Report Share Posted August 19, 2002 In the Mulamaadhyamika Kaarikaa, Naagaarjuna asserts : "The root of samsaara is action; therefore the wise one does not act; the unwise is the agent". But in the Nikhaayaas we find the Buddha when questioned, denying that he's teaching the path of inaction. How do Buddhist scholars view this contradiction?
