I am curious about two things right now: 1. How come that Dominik, probably from Sweden, has started Indology list? It is a welcome surprise. 2. I am curious to know why Indus valley script has not been decoded so far in spite of great advances in information technology, development of supercomputers and, recently, even demonstartion of teleportation in an Australian laboratory. If you write 100 names of well-known Indologists over the last 200 years, only a handful would be from the Indian subcontinent. Absense of a bi/tri lingual inscription with IVC language as one of them, along with other deciphered languages. c. That's not the problem. Those inscriptions are extremely short, the average being only 5 letters. Prof. Asko Parpola has written in many articles and books that the high Indus culture was most likely Dravidian. Parpola's classic , Deciphering the Indus script is worth reading.
