If I remember correctly, I think there are some late Sikh texts in

Sanskrit.

There are some hybrid Sanskrit verses (Salok Sahaskirti)

composed by the Sikh Gurus. Somewhat similar hybrid Sanskrit/Prakrit

has been used by Jina Taranaswamy, founder of a Jain sect in

Bundelkhand.

VA:Besides these, the Nirmalas have written short Prakarana granthas,

and commentaries on Sikh texts that are often in Sanskritized Hindi

and have a distict Advaitic/Vedantic bias. With the rise of Akalis

however, the Nirmalas have been sidelined completely.

The Nirmalas emerged from a group of Sikhs who were sent by Guru

Gobind Singh to learn the Shastras from the Pandits of Kashi.
