Karnataka Chief Minister-designate H.D. Kumaraswamy accompanied by about 50 MLAs

offered prayers at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala near

here this morning.

Mr. Kumaraswamy who arrived here, amid tight security, by bus followed by a

large number of vehicles at midnight on Monday, has along with MLAs trekked the

seven hills covering about 7000 and odd steps on foot and reached Tirumala at 3

am today.

After taking two hours rest at Sri Padmavathi Guest House on the hills, Mr.

Swamy visited the temple at dawn. Interestingly, Mr. Swamy met Kanchi

Sankaracharya, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi and took his blessings when the Kanchi

seer who also arrived in the temple for darshan of Lord, temples sources said.

Before leaving the shrine, Mr.Swamy was presented with Lord's laddu prasadams

and celestial water by the TTD Special Officer, Mr. A.V.Dharma Reddy.
