Guest guest
"Thus Spake Ramana" I thought I might post the verses from this little book published by Sri Ramanasraman and edited by Swami Rajeswarananda (1959). A pocket-size book containing 125 passages selected from Sri Ramana Maharshi's teachings. Benedictory and Verse 1 below. Peter ----------- BENEDICTORY Master: What is the Light for you? Disciple: For me by day (it is) the sun, by night, a lamp. M: What is the Light that perceives that light? D: The eye. M: What is the Light that illumines the eye? D: That Light is the intellect. M: What is the light that knows the intellect? D: It is the 'I'. M: You are therefore the Supreme Light of (all) lights. D: That truly am I. ----- THUS SPAKE RAMANA 1. The One Self, the Sole Reality, alone exists eternally. When even the Ancient Teacher, Dakshinamurti, revealed it through the speechless Eloquence, who else could have conveyed it by speech?
