Dear Alan,

Thank you but I think I wrote the wrong time when I

said to enter 4 pm on the web pages. I thought Gabriele

wanted the meeting to begin at 1800 her time but

apparently this is wrong. If she wants the meeting to

begin at 5 pm (1700) her time then people should

enter 3 pm (1500) UTC on the websites.

Best regards,

Actually, no. Your clock time is one hour ahead of

Greenwich time during the summer, so

4 UTC (GMT) = 5 UK time.

Dear Alan

No - British Summer time = GMT + One Hour. So 4 pm GMT is 5 PM BST.

GMT is constant for all countries, which is why Radio Hams use it.

Rob is right.

Now it is clear why Alan was sitting on his onio last week.

The operator was confused.

All clocks were checked here, and were correct

--- Dear John,

I wasn't alone - Sri Ramanaswami was also down as being present in the chat room

last week,but we

were in silence and did not chat .I did open with the Mantra .I hope to be

present to-day at 4:00

which appears to be the majority consensus - UK time . Who said Time was only a

concept ? Immanuel

Kant amongst other later Sages , I believe . Regards , Alam

To my dear friends in Ramana -please i hope no-one takes offence by this

but hearty congratulations to all those who earlier contributed to the

philosophical debate on G.M.T etc.,

it was truly Monty Pythonesque in stature and i can't pay it a higher

compliment than that. Well done to one and all ,I haven't felt so joyous in

a long time.Thank you.

Deep regards michael dillon

Dear members,

we had a nice chat in the chatroom today ... was really

elevating ... besides the insurity of time. We started at 4 p.m. UK

time ... later others joined ... all was quite ok as it was and I

think all enjoyed. It went on until 7:40 or even longer ... so each

one - also the late-comers did still find someone present there.

Nevertheless I shall try next time to make a more clear

announcement ... letting GMT aside :)... possibly then no confusion

comes up anymore.

kind regards

Gabriele

Om Namo bhagavathe Sri Ramanaaya

Well no one enjoyed a good laugh more than our Bhagavan Ramana. Yes,

the confusion was indeed delightful and hilarious, and it doubtless

produced much good deep-heart feeling which attracted to the chat.

It was indeed a very good SatSangh; the atmosphere to me during my

short visit there was that of a family gathering, combined with a

deep vibrant and very active, direct working sadhana by the direct

presence of the Sad-Guru. A wonderful and most blesséd combination...
