Guest guest
Dear Ben , I agree that "Love Conquers All Things".The nature of our own Self is Consciousness -Reality-Love {Sat Chit Ananda}.These powers are inherent in the Pure Absolute Self .Our difficulty is that because of the occlusion brought about by 'mind and identification with it' - we are living from the Reflected Consciousness .Ramana describes this in an interesting diagram in his Essay 'Self Enquiry',in Collected Works. Here the 'ego'is shown as a mirror reflecting Consciousness .There are answers about Reflected Consciousness also in Talks ,see the Index. The consequence of this is that the full power of the Self is only known in glimpses ,intimations, flashes etc.{or as Balsekar calls them 'free samples'}.The Jnani is Love -Consciousness -Reality but this Love is divine not humanoid , and although all compassionate, it can also be severe on the ego in order to diminish its assumed arrogance .Rigour can also be an expression of Divine Love. Nevertheless we can rest assured that the Immortal Friend or Pure Love as the Self is always there .."he knows what to do and when and how to do it "Meanwhile "what to do? Ripen by the joy of atma vichara and surrender .All love.in the Grace of the Self, Alan "No heart is that which love never wounded. They Who know not Lover's pangs are soulless clay. Turn from the world,oh turn thy wandering feet, Come to the world of Love and find it sweet."
