Guest guest
om namo bhagavate sri ramanaya ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When we are leaving the New Hall, directly opposite the small Nirvana Room is found, where Bhagavan stayed during his last months of his illness and died. It is a very tiny room with a straw-thetched roof over the verandah. With Bhagavan's sofa and all those simple things, he used during his life, the room is filled. One can have a look through the glass-door and see everything. If one stands in front of the New Hall, one can have a look through a small window on the side of the Nirvana Room which shows the upper part of the room, but not much more. There devotees stood awaiting anguishly Bhagavan's death - as it is reported. They watched the fan - as long as it was in movement they knew that he was still alife. Inside the room not many people could find a place. So mainly his close devotees suffered separation during his last illness, as it was not possibly to stay with him like in the big New Hall and likewise in the Old Hall. A small path leads from the Nirvana Room to the Samadhi of Chinnaswami, Bhagavan's brother and the first Ashram-manager (3rd photo). Next we will have a look at the Old Hall.
