Guest guest
--Dear Richard, Thanks very much -it is good to hear from you again .I plan to buy the translation from the Tamil ,it is more poetic than from the Sanskrit .Every best wish to you , in His Grace, Alan Clarke <rclarke wrote: > Dear Alan, > > Have a wonderful trip. Guest guest
Dear Alan, I agree, the Tamil song of Ribhu translation is more poetic. My wife and I continue to read this aloud each evening. I have not been active posting on this group for a while. While I continue always to read the postings, my focus has been very much on my practice. After several years of practice of inquiry and discrimination, the practice has recently deepened, with much greater conviction, and a present focus in inquiry on the "substratum," That which we are and is always present, and is constant--even when the mental state changes, say from waking to dream state. Since it is always so, then it is a good focus in inquiry. What is it that is always so? It cetainly cannot be any of the changing 'objects of mind." Next week my wife and I will go to a 5-day retreat at SAT. This is the longest retreat of the year at SAT, and we look forward to it greatly.
