Guest guest
Hello everybody, I used to practice Self-Inquiry about a dozen years ago. Sometimes, I 'knocked' with no answer, sometimes, the big 'I' would welcome me from the other side. And often, the warmth on the left side of my chest would come spontaneously even years after I stopped formally practicing. The spiritual heart has been my refuge during the day, at work, as I walk on the street, but I do not sit and do the practice formally any more. I feel strong affinity to Tibetan Buddhism and and am ready to commit to serious and extensive formal practices. However, the Tibetan lama I consulted has no idea what I am talking about when I describe the experience of the spiritual heart. He even said that the experience is created by my mind. Therefore, I find it difficult to incorporate the experience into the formal Buddhist practice. I have used the word "formal" intentionally several times, since this is a question about form. Is there anybody who has practiced Tibetan Buddhism with their spiritual heart beaming? Please respond to the list or off the list. Thanks! Guest guest
Dear Sonam, Thanks.Do you mean the right or left ?Ramana signified the right side as being where the Spritual Heart could be known according to his own experience. If you post your letter to our Atma vichara Site[you will find a link here]you may have more chance of an answer. There all the members are serious about Self Enquiry and its practice. My impression is if you continue Atma Vichara you may reach the source of the ego and know the Self. This will assist your understanding of Tibetan Buddhism ..The Maharshi enjoyed Reading the Biography of Milarepa[see Talks],so he knew what you were about .Regards Alan RamanaMaharshi, "manasrovar" <kushinagar@a...> wrote: > Hello everybody, > > I used to practice Self-Inquiry about a dozen years ago.
