Adiyen was taught by adiyen's parents so many decades back when

adiyen was just a boy of 10 years the following slokas, one of which

is always recited after finishing sandhya vandaNnam to pray to

Perumal of Srirangam, Thiru Venkatam, Kanchi and Tiru Narayanapuram.

Can any bhagavatas tell adiyen as to by whom these slokas were

composed? Adiyen does not remember the origin of these two slokas.

Dear SrIman Srinivasan :

 

"KasthUri Tilakam " SlOkam on Lord KrisnNA's

dhivya MangaLa Vigraham has been composed by

a great KrsihNa Bhakthar from Kerala by the Name of

Leela Sukhar .

 

It is the 2.108 slOkam of SrI KrishNa KarNAmrutham,

a string of Bhakthi laden poems offered at the sacred

feet of the Lord . The poetry mingles with ease with

Bahgavath anubhavam of this Saint , who lived 400 plus

year ago . He belongs to the great traditon of KrishNa

BhakthAs like SrI NaarAyaNa Bhattadhiri , OothukkAdu

MahAn et al .

 

SrI LeelA Sukhar's entire composition is in three chapters and

each slOkam is a treasure like PeriyAzhwAr's and

other AzhwAr's anubhavam of Lord Krishna .

Sriman M.G.Vasudevan of our list has often quoted

slOkams of SrI KrishNa KarNAmrutham and commented

on them . Additional postings of mine on specific

I will leave it to the other List Members to guess

the author of the ancient slOkam that we use in

our daily SanshyA Vandhanam . It would be a nice
