Guest guest
The repose of being posed in one's true nature, devoid of thoughts, is the highest devotion. It comes from the strength of meditation. The meditation referred to here is the unitary meditation, of one's non-separateness from the Self, dealt with in the preceding verse. 'I am That' meditation is traditionally regarded as the path of Knowledge. In Vivekachudamai Sri Sankara says "It is said that the contemplation of the nature of the Self is bhakti or devotion." Thus, underscoring the essential unity of the two, Knowledge and Devotion. According to Ramana Self-abidance is the highest devotion. ~~~~~~~~~~~ A.R.
