I have a discussion going if God is a

state of mind.. here:

this is a argument from an an other

thread:

poster: There is no path in books

and God cannot be found

or lost

~~

karta: God, paradise or "kingdom of god"

is a state of mind.. and it should be

looked for and be FOUND!--so we can have peace and light on earth..

~~

poster: While a peaceful mind is probably a good goal and something worthy of

seeking and achieving, my thought is that if you seek a state of mind, that's

all you will find.

I think God is not a state of mind.

~~

kara: I was thinking more of a realized

mind a god-realized, enlightened

person's

mind.. which is peaceful and + has the

right understanding compassion..etc and

acts in total unisom with *god's will*

I thought that *god* is a word used for

an abstract ... it is perceived,

understood

differently by everybody.. so it is a

state of mind..what else could it be..?

for us humans..

I don't belive in a god in the Genesis stories and holy scriptures..more

than I believe the Grimm fairy-tales,

or any other dogma..they all were made

for an other generation to comprehend..

have ethics, to control and to sood

their fear of death..

I like to think god is synonymous with

the Life-force Brahman the Consciousness

(capital C not the individual one..)

and God is but ONE: fragmanted in all

of us; into the part we call soul.. and

I like to build union with it any which

way I can: through Kundalini yoga shabd

yoga with bhajan and now practicing the

awareness kept aware on awareness

Nisargadatta style ...the *search* has sloped..

Dear Era,

A short comment:

God exists only if you (the ego'I') exists.

The answer to your questions depends on where you stand. AS long as

you exist, so does God.

Both you and God are known. By whom are they known? (and from your

view point) Who am I?

We are Not two,

Richard
