Guest guest
Welcome to Stotra Section of Saranam.com Saranam.com in association with Divyastotras has now introduced a new section that provides you with stotras about the various deities in the Hindu Mythology. A unique collection of stotras (hymns) in Sanskrit drawn from the rich heritage of devotional literature of the Hindus. These stotras have been culled from the Puranas and the compositions of the great Acharyas. In the preface to Vishnu Sahasranama, Bhishma says that worshipping the Lord by singing hymns in His praise is the highest form of Dharma. Hindu saints had no doubt in their minds that the recitation of these stotras with devotion and faith would confer on the devotee material, mental and spiritual benefits. Please go ahead and feel free to have your pick of stotras on your chosen deity (ishta devatha) and use them in worship and meditation. As of now, we have the slokas in only the Devanagiri script. We soon hope to provide the text in other Indian language scripts for the benefit of those not familiar with Devanagari. If you bear with us for some more time we would like to provide audio files which you can play and experience the devotional fervour that a recitation of the stotras will generate.
