Guest guest
Sri Ramana never wanted to disappoint anyone. In His last illness a lot of doctors and others tried their best to cure Him - and He let them all do what they thought would be best for Him. Mostly it doesn't work and very often He had to suffer in addition, but He saw their love for Him and so accepted all what they offered. >From V. Ganesan: Moments Remembered, p. 74: This is a story, Mrs. Roda McIver narrated to V. Ganesan, Sri Ramana's grand nephew: "Worried about Bhagavan's health, in His last days, devotees would send Bhagavan all kinds of medicine and these were carefully arranged in a cupboard. One day He called for a big glass jar and ordered all the little bottles to be emptied into the jar and mixed well. He announced that He would take a spoonful every morning and evening. Some of the medicines were quite poisonous and we were scared. 'People send me these medicines out of their love for me. To please them I must take them all' , argued Bhagavan! A doctor came and he too was terrified. The mixture war fantastic - allopathy, ayurvedic, homeopahty, herbs, biochemicals, ashes, powders, poisons - a lethal brew! Bhagavan was adamant. But when we invoked His own rule and demanded a spoonful for each of us, He relented and gave up the idea of drinking the stuff!" Dear Vicky, ok - what shall I do, if you ask me like this! No chance to escape! You want to hear this stories in this group. I hope I will always find the time to serve both groups with them. I will try my best! You can stop me at any time, if you want to.
