Dear Guru Bhais & Bahans

Jai Guru Dev !

How to hold the Rosary and turn the beads ?

In the Frequently Asked Queries on the siddhashram.org

website it is mentioned that "HANG THE ROSARY ON THE

MIDDLE (LARGER) FINGER and TURN THE BEADS WITH THUMB"

I have taken GURU DIKSHA from SADGURU DEV DR. NARAYAN

DUT SHRIMALI JI in 1994. When I was new with Sadhnas

one day I when I Gurudham (Delhi) but guruji were not

there. I asked from someone there that advice me HOW

TO HOLD ROSARY AND TURN THE BEADS" where I was told

that "Hold the Rosary with THUMB and next Finger of

Smallest Finger and Turn the Beads with Largest

Finger"

Thereafter I took part in some sadhnas in Gurudham

Delhi and performed Mantra Chanting with above said

Rule of holding the Rosary.

Whereas On the Website it is different rule.

Can any senior Guru Bhai/Bahan advice me what is the

correct way to HOLD THE ROSARY AND TURN THE BEADS (we

should hold the Rosary with which Fingers and Turn the

Beads with which finger).

Is Rule of Holding the Rosary & Turning the Beads is

same for all SADHNAS or it is different from sadhna to

sadhna. If it is different from sadhna to sadhna then

for the sadhnas which are being published in MTYV

Magazine there it is not mentioned how hold the rosary

and turn the beads whereas all other rules are

mentioned there for each sadhna whatever they are.

Your early advice will help me and other sadhaks &

disciples like me.

Jai Guru Dev !

Regards : Sanjay

i hold the rosary on the finger next to little finger. and the tip of

middle finger touches the beads. And with the help of thumb i rotate the

beads inwards.

I asked gurudham abt the rotation of rosaries. and they said the above

procedure.

There r some sadhans in which the rosary might be rotated outwards instead

of inwards. In one of the books by Pujya Gurudev it was mentioned when to

rotate it outwards. I asked Gurudham about it and they said its ok if u

always rotate it inwards

Best Regards,

Anurag
