Jay Gurudev,

Dear Charanjit Ji,

I think that you are talking about sadhna (9 day, 21 day,.........) not daily rutin pujan.

For daily pujan dainik sadhana vidhi book is very good. It is long but this is

PANCHOPCHAR Pujan,

If you are talking about Sadhna , Only first day of Sadhana the Guru Pujan is

required Not all 9 or 21 day. Because rule is at during sadhana period you can not

taking Gurudev ‘s Photo, yantra and your Asan. You can change only Flowers at

sadhana period. (Means Snan,Chandan, Vastra Etc. are not required ,it is doing only at first

day ).Panchopchar Pujan means Your are doing pujan with Five Things which are

give in D....S.....Vidhi book.( DHOOP, DEEP , NAIVADHYA, ARDHYA & PADHYA

Vidhi is given in this book but if you want i will give it to you.

Jai Gurudev,

Dear Arvindji and Deepakji,

I think the situation is getting more confused for me. Now I have two

options with Panchopchar method - arvindji says Dhoop, Deep,

Naivaidya, Akshat and Pushp while Deepakji replace last two with

Ardhya and Padhya. I doubt whether deepakji is correct.

Anyway let me put my problem in a more clear manner. I have two

things to do in a day. One is regular Guru Puja and second is 21 days

Sadhna.

For Ist things should i follow DSV Book from Pg 5-16 and then from Pg

45 to .....?????

Now for second thing i.e. Sadhna Guruji has told me to follow

Panchopchar. Confusion comes here only.

For Ist i can follow the DSV Book. For second I would like to do

Shodashopchar on first day following by Panchopchar from 2nd day

onward. The shodashopchar the method is available at site detailing

all the 16 things required with Mantra.

Let me put the things in sequence for the first sadhna day. First I

will complete the all required things as per DSV Book for Gurupuja as

told in upper lines. Next I will do first day sadhna with

Shodashopchar method.

>From next day onward, I will first do Gurupuja as per DSV book and

then Sadhna as per Panchopchar method.

Now for panchopchar, the web site says fragrance, flowers, incense,

ghee lamp and sweets. I assume that correct. Now what does this

fragrance stand for. According to me it is perfume used in pujas.

But Arvindji translate is as Dhoop. That is confusing. Whether I m

Correct or he is correct.

I think Arvindji, Deepakji and other sadhak bhais can throw some

light on this.

-------

I more thing is that what do u do with the sweets offered to Guruji

or to Sadhna. Shall we give that to a child or flow in the water or

something else.

I think the mail is long but a reply will surely help me and other

desciples also.

Jai Gurudev Charanjitji

Fragrance means "Dhoop" (incense).

Ardhya & Padhya means just washing hands & feet with water.

Panchopkar menas worshipping with 5 articles & shodshopchaar means

worshipping with 16 articles.

The poojan given in the Dainik Sadhana Vidhi book is "Panchopchaar

poojan" itself. The "Guru Paaduka Poojan" in the Dainik Sadhana Vidhi

book is "Shodshopchaar poojan".

The sweets offered can be distributed as a prashad. However, in some

specific sadhanas, the Sadhak is supposed to eat it himself.

Just my views. You can check with Delhi Gurudham (since u live in

Delhi) and get correct info. If u get info from Gurudham, please post

it on for our benefit!!
