Guest guest Report post Posted March 29, 2001 dear gurubhais and behens, iam from banglore and iam totally new to mantra and tantra.i have received gurudiksha through photograph,is receiving diksha through a photograph as fruitful as receiving diksha in person? as soon as i obtained diksha i accomplished gurupoornima sadhana and expecting to have a glimpse of gurudev but may be my karmas were too heavy i could'nt even complete the sadhana properly b'cos even though i had read the sadhana procedure i could not pronounce the complex mantric words properly. in this sadhana in the begining a triangle is drawn with rice grains and gutika ,ratna and shivling is established on the three corners and then sankalp and japa should be started.if any of you have done this sadhana please tell me wheather this part of drawing the triangle should be repeated on all days of the sadhana or only on the first day. and please breif me about other kinds of gurusadhana for which i would be very grateful i really feel very neglected when i go through the "we have witnessed divinity" section of the mtyv site and wonder wheather these beautiful things will ever happen to me. i think banglore is very poor as far as sadhana camps are concerned. any gurubhai's from banglore please let me know? hope that every member of this group become an adept in mantra sadhana by sharing their know-hows jay gurudev Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Guest guest Report post Posted March 29, 2001 Jai Gurudev . You sudnt get so much disheartened. A mere kindergarten kid cannot read & understand "Milton's" book! (Gurudev's own words) He has to learn the composition of alphabets into words, grammar sequence, syntax etc. Having said that, it is very easy to achieve success is Sadhana after taking Dikshas.I dont think that there is any difference between taking Diksha thru photo or in person. Faith, Trust, Devotion and Perseverance are more important factors. u sudnt have any doubt about Diksha thru photo. I cannot comment about the "technical" intricacies of the Sadhana like sud triangle be made everyday etc. etc. In fact I don't think that anyone apart from Gurudham (Gurudev) can give you an authentic answer. You sud always ask such queries from Gurudham to get accurate answer. In my belief, Guru Mantra is the basis of Sadhana, First, the base has to be made strong. U have mentioned inability to properly pronounce the complex mantra. Correct Pronunciation can be gotten only from Gurudev (Gurudham). An easy way of strengthening the foundation is Guru Mantra. U sud try to chant the Guru Mantra as much as possible. It will be infinitely better if u first do at least a Sava lakh (125,000 chantings) anusthaan of Guru Mantra in 21 or 40 days. That will be advantageous both in the short & long run. U sud be getting at least some Divine experience during the Anushthaan itself. And, if possible, try to meet Gurudev. Or write a very detailed letter to Gurudev thru post, fax or email to seek advice . But u sud do at least one anusthaan. And then try a Sadhana. Guru Poornnima is fast approaching. You can do an Anusthaan before that, and then try this Sadhana on Guru Poornnima. Or, probably, 21st April (the Birthday) is also a very good muhurath for this.
