Guest guest
Namaste all Ever since our mirror archives failed to work, it has been rather difficult to trace particular postings of members, for reference. Until a new arrangement is made for a proper search engine, would the members remember to add the message number of the post to which they are replying or to which they are referring, so that we can easily go back to the post referred to, by typing the message number in the search column of the home page of advaitin? Thanks. PraNAms to all advaitins. profvk
Guest guest
Namaste: Profvk has requested earlier requesting help from volunteers for setting up an independent Website where the entire archive in the advaitin (about 29000 messages) can be stored. The new website should be equipped with a powerful search engine so that messages can be searched easily. The advaitin list archive located at the URL: advaitin/messages is not equipped with a good search engine. However, I did notice that while browsing the messages, it can be viewed either as <message list> or by <thread>. By choosing the view as thread, the list provides all messages by thread. For example, all messages that correspond to Gita Satsangh (by subject title) are assembled togetherr. This is quite convenient and it is also important that members do not change the title of the message while sending the reply. This will make referencing and looking for the message easier. (Profvk should also notice this important feature). Harih Om! Ram Chandran advaitin, "V.
