Guest guest
i am fearful to expose my ignorance to all the illustrious writers on this list. For the benefit of those others who are in the same position though, perhaps they will feel that there is at least one other than themselves who pleads complete ignorance, and not feel shy in coming forward with an introduction. i have recently become interested in "things of the Spirit" (God) and am searching for theoretical answers to the personal experiences of the Spirit in this present time of this present life. While i find the discussions interesting and enlightening, the most valuable for me of all the articles that i have read on this list are those sent by Ram Chandran from The Hindu, since they always address the application for daily living of the knowledge found in the Bagavad Gita. i have nothing to offer in regard to philosophical discussions relating to advaita. Reading the discussions by the many learned members is giving me a grounding in the philosophy of advaita and i am very greatful to be able to access the information on this list. There are instances when even in my ignorance i am tempted to comment on various matters under discussion, but prefer to err on the side of discretion, being content to follow the arguments to their eventual conclusion. It is the longing that keeps me in this illusion, therefore i let go of the longing and the answer comes, not in words (they help) but from the heart. Christel. Guest guest
Namaste Sri Christel: I honestly feel that your statement: "There are instances when even in my ignorance i am tempted to comment on various matters under discussion, but prefer to err on the side of discretion, being content to follow the arguments to their eventual conclusion," only demonstrates your wisdom and not the ignorance. I wish that have the wisdom not to comment on matters where I have established ignorance! Your introductory message clearly demonstrates that your wisdom can benefit other members to open and purify their heart. warmest regards, Ram Chandran advaitin, "Chris" <monty@i...> wrote: >...... > There are instances when even in my ignorance i am tempted to > comment on various matters under discussion, but prefer to err > on the side of discretion, being content to follow the arguments > to their eventual conclusion. > > It is the longing that keeps me in this illusion, therefore i let > go of the longing and the answer comes, not in words (they help) > but from the heart. > > Christel. >
