Lakshmi Narayana Hrudayam and Lakshmi Hrudayam of Atharvana Rahasyam

Dear Members,

 

As I understand from the text of Lakshmi Narayana Hrudayam, one

cannot do parayanam of Lakshmi Hrudayam without doing Parayanam of

the Lakshmi Narayana Hrudayam.

 

However ,can one do the Lakshmi Narayana Hrudaya Parayanam without

doing the Lakshmi Hrudaya Parayanam?

 

Kindly enlighten on the same.

Dear Sir,

 

Namaste. My 2-cents worth of inputs in this regard:

 

1. Lakshmi Naryana Hrudayam is actually a combination of two separate

Hrudayams Narayana Hrudayam and Lakshmi Hrudayam.

 

2. The correct chanting procedure for one avarti (1-count) is

Narayana Hrudayam, Lakshmi Hrudayam and again Narayana Hrudayam. No

other method is allowed.

 

3. I have seen in the book "Ashtaishvarya prada Mahalakshmi Homam" -

only Lakshmi Hrudayam is used for Homam after Lakshmi mula mantra

homam but it is a must to chant the both Narayana Hrudayam as

specified in (2) after Poornahuti
