Jai Ganesha -- Nice to see this timely posting on this day being "Ganesha

Chaturthy".

Though the explanation is perfect, I vagely remember to have read that Lord got

his trunk when his head was Cut by mistake ( I am not repeating the episode )

and on realising the mistake an elephant's head was replaced to give the new

look. I do not remember it is from another purana or other source.

 

Can anybody expalin my (mis) understanding.
