GURU

Mon, 26 Jul 2004 16:37:52 +0530

Namaskaram

When a sadhak considers whoever as "Guru", it is THAT bhava that becomes Guru

for him. In the case of Bhattadhri, it was not that Bhattadhri got the Guru

relieved of VadhaRoham, BUT, it was Guruvayoorappan's leela that made Bhattadhri

see that his Guru was suffering. Again it was His leela to make Bhattadhri to

pray like this, as through this suffering, HE wanted an ETERNAL remedy for us. I

believe it was not that Bhattadhri's GURU was inferior to Bhattdadhri because

Bhattadhri tooks his vadharoham. It could also be Bhattadhri's vadharoham the

Guru was holding till he passed it on to Bhattadhri, All because of THAT

Guruvayoorappan's leela.

GURU is the bhavam that we hold of our Guru. The physical is afterall a nimitha

mathram and GURU is HE and he who is able to see in the physical guru THAT only

gains THAT. That's how Shri Shankaracharya and the like gained it. Otherwise all

the vigrahas we should consider as kal and not living murthy playing with us.

Affectionately yours
