Guest guest
136. Salutations to my mother Sivaa, who is the very form of Siva. 137. Salutations to my mother AmritaswaroopiNi, who is the divine nectar to cool down the Kaalagni called Siva. 138. Salutations to my mother Sri Vidya, who is embodiment of brahma vidya that can show us our father Siva. 139. Salutations to my mother who is eager to shower her divine grace on devotees of Siva. 140. Salutations to my mother who is the left half of Siva, who with her lotus like tender feet has hit the god of Death to rescue rishi Markandeya. 141. Salutations to my mother Eswarii, who is the eternal wealth of Maheswara. 142. Salutations to my mother who is worshipped by devotees with their hands filled with fragrant jasmine flowers and eyes filled with tears of joy. 143. Salutations to my mother whose very thought drenches us our entire being with the bliss called Sivaananda. 144. Salutations to my mother whose splendor is beyond these incoherent words of thy children. 145. Salutations to my mother who is bearing the worldy burden of her chidren without their knowledge. 146. Salutations to my mother who is the only source of hope and rescue for this undeserving child who is always immersed in the worldly activities. 147. Salutations to my mother who is worshipped by Brahma and other great sages with intense unmatched devotion. How can I ever hope to gain even an iota of their devotion towards you. O compassionate one, shower your grace eventually on me also. 148. Salutations to my mother, I do not deserve to receive your wish fulfilling mantra or yantra. How can I worship you as prescribed in the sacred vedas. O compassionate one, shower your grace eventually on me also. 149. Salutations to my mother, it is because of your boundless compassion that you have given me this golden oppertunity to remember you in this life, otherwise how can this undeserving lad of yours ever get this thought. 150. Salutations to my mother, bless me to remember you and cherish this divine treasure in this life and all the after lives to come. O compassionate one, my fleeting memory does not let me remember you all the time, O kind one, keep this word and do not let me go down the spiral of mundane lives again. 151. Salutations to my mother Paarvati, who has undergone severe austerities herself to realize Siva. O Gauri, you have done this to show us that your form of Siva, is so splendid and beyond comprehension that one needs to take up severe Tapas to attain it. O kind one, this feeble mind of mine cannot concentrate on you even for a minute. How can I ever hope to reach you. 152. Salutations to my mother. Right from the morning to evening, I am only engaged in doing things which I am not supposed to do, and not doing things which I am supposed to do. O compassionate one, where do I stand in the long list of your devotees who are maha rishis who have dedicated everything to you. Only your kind grace can rescue me who is entrapped in this karmic world like a spider entrapped in its own web. I have no faith in whatever little punya or merit that I managed to accrue over all these thousands of lives. 153. Salutations to my mother. There are devotees of you who are adept in meditating on you for hours together without feeling a trace of bodily discomfort. There are devotees of you who are well versed in Vedas and Braahmanas and are engaged in yagna and yaaga to please you. There are devotees of you who are great sanskrit poets, whose words are fit for praising the divine splendrous form of yours in all its glory. O kind one, I am a mere mortal reeling under the constant weight of this worldly mundane life, how can I meditate or do archana or sing praise of thee. 154. Salutations to my mother, There are devotees of you who are in constant association with you in deep samadhi. There are devotees of you who had the divine vision of your brilliant form. O compassionate mother, the only experience that I have of you is, tears in my eyes, choking of my voice and trembling of my body when I think of you. This undeserving lad of yours does not know your true form. 155. Salutations to my mother, I cannot think of thee without your grace. O mother, it is because of this boundless compassion of yours that I started remembering you. O mother listen to my humble plea. I have read the description of your form, from your stotras and stories of great devotees of yours. O compassionate one, when will you reveal thyself to me. Probably you think I do not deserve this. Let us come to an understanding. O compassionate one, why dont you atleast reveal thyself for a moment in my dream. I will cherish the happiness of that moment for the rest of my life. 156. Salutations to my mother, I am hopelessly lost in this jungle of samsaara. I know not what I am doing. I know not what is good for me. I know not how to please you. I am going through this cycle of birth and death again and again without even realizing this. O compassionate one, help me find the ashram that is the seat of divine knowledge called Siva. 157. Salutations to my mother, there is no end to my wishes. O kind one, you are the ocean of mercy. Only you can grant them however unattainable they are for me. O Kailaasanaadha GruhiNii, I can cook food very well. Why dont you give me the job of a cook in Kailaasa. I would make delicious dishes for you and Siva and all your gaNaas everyday. 158. Salutations to my mother who is not different from Siva. O mother, dont disown me because of my bad qualities. I could be of some use to you. You in the form of Siva wear poisonous snakes, have taken terrible poison (haalahalam) in your throat. I am not any worser than any of them. The animal that I am, roaming in the jungle of Samsaara, make me one of the GaNaas in Kailaasa, I would gaurd your abode and serve you loyally forever. 159. Salutations to my mother Tripurasundarii, who is seated on the majestic golden throne in Kailaasa next to Paramashivaa himself the source of brilliance to all the worlds. All the devatas and maha rishis who have done great austerities, due to the grace of that divine couple have gained entrance into Kailaasa and are singing praise of both of you as 'Sivaabhyaam'. O my mother Sivaa, whisper my wishes into the ears of your husband Siva when he is in that joyous mood. Bring him along and reveal thyself to me O mother. 160. Salutations to my mother VaagruupiNii, these words are born out of you to describe thee. You are the divine sound indicating Siva. O compassionate one, quell this ego of mine that may have come out of these words without harming me. Om Namah Sivaaya... _______________ Instant message during games with MSN Messenger 6.0. Guest guest
http://www.ambaa.org/download/namavali.txt has the updated file with 365 names. I hope I did not miss anything. a) Please do not send the names to me. Either send it to profvk or help. This is because, at times I may not have time to look at my e-mail. b) Please send the names in multiple of 5. We have two or more composites. (such as 256-260), where I took liberty to move things around to fill the gap. And it also reflects in 361-365. If there are any gaps, we can always go and fill in. Thanks to Prof VK for filling in names, wherever it was required. Thanks. Ravi
