Progress, Morning or Afternoon?

I've been practicing vinyasa steady the last 6

months, and most of my time on the mat has been in the

late afternoon/early evening. My basic level of

flexibility at that time of day is much greater than at, say,

7 a.m. Much greater!<br><br>I'm wondering if

there's just as much progress to be made in the asanas by

practicing in the early morning, vs. practicing later.

Trayam--<br><br>A valid and interesting question!

I'm not a yogi per se, but I find that gently

stretching in the morning after reaching a plateau from

stretching in the afternoons makes the asanas easier to hold

later on. I hope that more experienced group members

can provide expert feedback, but it strikes me as a

question of relativity-- if you're less resilient in the

morning, and have the determination to overcome that

tension gently, morning stretching is bound to be more

'productive' in increasing comfortable range of motion. That

is my experience, at least.
