Meaning:

Blessing with (saying) all the mantras, and in the

rituals of their vedic scriptures clearing all the

doubts that bother the mind of the rich vedic

chanters, crystallizing their understanding, one who

(cambandhar) said, "The early

first mantras all originate from the Lord's holy five

syllables", blessed with the thiruppadhikam, "andhiyuL

mandhiram anycezuththumE".

 

Notes:

1. When the prodigy cambandhar grew to the age of

performing

upanayanam (initiation to vedic knowledge), to the

vedins who

performed the ritual starting the teaching of vedas,

cambandhar

chanted countless vedic hymns. Who need to teach the

child,

who was initiated by none other than the God and

Goddess themselves? He further clarified the doubt the

vedins had and crystallized the ultimate wisdom of

vedas in them.

2. One who looks at vedas only from a narrow wisdom,

is likely to be confused or misled. Understanding its

essence

leads one to realize the various perspective of God

hailed in the

vedas. The wise and blessed ones realize the heart of

the veda

to be the "namaHshivAya" mantra and focus on that. The

meditation

on this mantra is the fruit one would seek in the

sandyAvandana

through gAyatri mantra.
