Guest guest
Namaste, After spending 2 days at the FTAA protests in Miami, under the ceaseless droning of helicopters and in the presence of more police than I have seen outside of a star wars movie, after fleeing from tear gas, dancing only to the audience of other paraders and cops in riot gear lining the streets that had been cleared of citizens, after chanting to the Goddess in the midst of chaos and singing about water flowing free...my companions and I retreated to the sea. We could have done more, perhaps, but it was so difficult, so oppressive and frightening and the ocean beckoned. I started laughing as soon as I saw Her. So incredibly beautiful and so vast, the waters from which we all arise. The sand was so soft and bright, the water itself a beautiful turquoise. We swam and played for an hour. I was embraced, lifted up, pulled along, supported and carried, washed clean. I was so lucky to be travelling with 2 other women who love and know the Goddess. We lay on a blanket for a while to warm up and dry off before heading out to Georgia for protests against the School of the Americas at Fort Benning. I haven't been in the ocean since I was a child. I'd long since forgotten the beauty, the wonder and the playful charm of the beach. I must say, I recommend the beach for anyone searching for Her. Guest guest
Welcome back, prainbow. Someone posted their concern on the message board for your well-being due to the news reports of arrests at the protests. Glad to hear you did what you could and enjoyed the Ocean, too. -- Mary Ann , "prainbow61" <paulie-rainbow@u...> wrote: > Namaste, > > After spending 2 days at the FTAA protests in Miami, under the > ceaseless droning of helicopters and in the presence of more police > than I have seen outside of a star wars movie, after fleeing from > tear gas, dancing only to the audience of other paraders and cops in > riot gear lining the streets that had been cleared of citizens, after > chanting to the Goddess in the midst of chaos and singing about water > flowing free...my companions and I retreated to the sea. > > We could have done more, perhaps, but it was so difficult, so > oppressive and frightening and the ocean beckoned. > > I started laughing as soon as I saw Her. She is also called the great mother due to her great COMPASSION for mankind. The legend goes that those that came from Egypt were guided across the desert by the Sun god, Olorun. Reportedly, those that arrived in west Africa brought with them their religion, where ISIS received a new name - YEMAYA Shanti, ozai

Looks like you have an interesting time. And thank you beautiful verse. I grew up at the East Coast of Singapore. Even though my bedroom window faces the sea, I love to spend time at the beach especially in the evening. It was indeed a beautiful moment and I really miss those times. Your verse brings back very fond memories. The ocean is so deep, so vast and the wonders that lies deep within the blue ocean, especially to places where no man have ventured in. What we are enjoying is just the surface, and we have yet to dive within and see the real marine life that lies within the ocean. Sometimes I see the ocean is like my spiritual journey. I am only swimming on the surface, sometimes I do have this fear. Fear of being swept by the current, for we know that even good swimmers do drown in the sea. …. Sorry for the rampling…… gosh ! I miss the Ocean !
