Meaning:

Oh the Crazy ! One wearing crescent ! Great One !

Gracious ! In the mind of me who thinks ever without

forgetting, You have kept Yourself. Oh the

All-surpassing at aruTTuRai abode in

thiruveNNeyn^allUr on the southern bank of peNNai

river, after having become Your slave, can I say no

now ?!

 

Notes:

1. The first song that came out of the holy tongue of

cundharar, that sang the unadulterated expressions.

2. cundharar scolded the Lord, Who came as old-man,

stopped cundharar's wedding and declared him His

slave.

Irked cundharar scolded Him, "You Crazy!" cundharar

later shivered to note that the old-man was none other

than God. Lord shiva lovefully commanded our saint to

start singing as crazy itself. cundharar sang in the

feeling, did we call that Supreme Gracious Being as

crazy and opposed.
