Guest guest
One way to know something as wrong action, is how divisive it is, or in other words: How much does this action separate people, or break them into opposing factions. As you can see, this Iraq war has caused a lot of damage by separating people and countries. The U.N. from the U.S., France and Germany from the U.S. and Britain. Britain's leader from his people, Turkeys leader from their people, and many people in the U.S. fight about this. Thich Nhat Hanh’s Order of Interbeing precepts are, for me, a good test for right action on many issues that I face. Please read #8 the order of interbeing below, and you can see why this war in Iraq is already wrong action, without even being executed: 8. Community and Communication: Aware that the lack of communication always brings separation and suffering, we are committed to training ourselves in the practice of compassionate listening and loving speech. We will learn to listen deeply without judging or reacting and refrain from uttering words that can create discord or cause the community to break. We will make every effort to keep communications open and to reconcile and resolve all conflicts, however small. Platinum - Watch CBS' NCAA March Madness, live on your desktop! http://platinum.
