Well, thank you both. Sri Easwaren's translations of the Gita and the

Upanishads are so beautiful. He has also translated the Dhammapada. There are

also tapes available from Nilgiri press of him reading from various

scriptures--they are lovely, he has such a beautiful, peaceful, resonant voice.

As some of you might know, he was the spiritual leader of the Blue Mountain

Center of Meditation in Tomales, CA, and died two years ago after some long

struggles with his health. He was around 80 years old. I love to think of him,

and although I never met him, I miss him very much.

Thank you, Vicki, for the invitation below and also for the beautiful Easwaren

article. It has given a deep center to this day.

hi ,

all lovers of the Upanishads are welcome to join

MillionPaths ;

i am in love with them and i'll be posting

accordingly on MP list; the list is open

but quiet , truth of Ramana Maharshi's teachings

& Upanishads is fully accepted ; not open to

intellectual debates or controverses about the

nature of reality.

Jill, i'll forward one of Eknath Easwaran's articles,

i am almost sure you'll like it , and maybe others too,

vicki.

Yes, dear Vicki, I also like your selections very much and wonder how

you manage all this besides children, your job and ... Yours and my

postings have become some good addition, I think.

The only thing I am not so happy with my own postings is the fact

that I mostly post the same to various lists. This is not very

original, but I really don't know how to manage it otherwise.

When I joined the first list (Sri Arunachala) some months ago (by

pure chance) I thought being able to restrict myself and only post

there - but now it is otherwise. I also could then not imagine

receiving such a lot of mails. That is a problem for me up to now,

because normally for me I feel one quote or story is more than enough

for a day to move with. The more I read the less stays with me. But

at the same time I am fascinated of the variety of the many messages

and also the different backgrounds people have. I have not yet found

the right balance for myself. Very often I think that I am too busy

and should be more quiet. (There were weeks I had put a slip of paper

on my computer: "restriction!") But it didn't work! In contrary(LOL)!

But there may also come a time I have to be more quiet again.

How do you others deal with the flood of postings?

Gabriele
